Taylor Ryan

Taylor Ryan is a drummer and lifelong musician who began exploring rhythm at an early age, starting with pots and pans before moving on to formal lessons and school band at age 10. Growing up playing rock and metal, he performed with bands throughout high school, including a group that played on Warped Tour. After moving from upstate New York to Atlanta in 2015 to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music, Taylor has continued performing and teaching throughout Georgia.

Taylor believes every student learns differently and tailors lessons to fit each individual’s goals, interests, and learning style. While building strong foundations through essential techniques and concepts, he focuses on making music feel approachable, relevant, and engaging by connecting lessons to the styles and songs students enjoy.

Outside of teaching and performing, Taylor enjoys golfing, playing games with friends, and exploring all genres of music. While rock and metal were early influences, his current performances span pop, rock, R&B, and jazz as a drummer with Five Star Funk, a corporate band under Music Garden.
