Sonny LoCascio began his musical journey on the cello before expanding into violin and viola studies. During his university years, he discovered a passion for singing and has since become a regular performer in the Atlanta music community, especially enjoying early choral music. In addition to performing, Sonny has received recognition for his original choral compositions, with works featured at conferences across the United States.
Sonny believes music lessons should be active, engaging, and fun from the very beginning. His lessons often include musical games, ear training activities, and interactive challenges that help students build confidence while developing strong musical skills. He creates a supportive environment where both children and adults can feel encouraged to explore, play, and grow as musicians.
With over five years of teaching experience, Sonny enjoys sharing a wide range of musical styles with his students and especially loves instrumental music. Lately, he has been exploring fiddle music on the viola and bringing that energy into his playing and teaching. Sonny also spent nearly a decade living in South Korea, where he had the opportunity to study elements of traditional Korean singing and experience music from a completely different cultural perspective.
