Rudi Moore

Rudi is a seasoned percussionist, underlined by a storied career in Southern California's competitive drumline and percussion ensemble scene. His accolades as an educator include several SCPA Gold Medals in both Scholastic A and Junior High Classes, while as a performer, he boasts a 2003 WGI Independent World Class Silver Medal. With a teaching career spanning 18 years, Rudi is adept at fostering talent across all skill levels, from beginners to advanced students.

Rudi's love for music is as diverse as his teaching methods, with a particular fondness for '90s Alternative Rock, R&B, Metal, Indie Rock, Shoegaze, and Dream Pop. His teaching philosophy centers on maintaining a light-hearted yet focused atmosphere, prioritizing the student's understanding and enjoyment of music. He excels at fine-tuning a student's instrumental tone and expression, taking pride in witnessing their growth and eventual mastery of material. Rudi teaches drums, percussion, and beginner levels of guitar and bass, always with the aim of guiding students to find their unique musical voice and achieve milestones that once seemed out of reach.
