Rachel Odendahl

Music Teacher

Rachel Odendahl is a passionate musician and dedicated educator with over five years of teaching experience. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Clarinet Performance at Georgia State University, she holds a graduate assistantship that supports her studies and contributes to her continued growth as a performer and teacher.

Rachel’s musical journey began early, with childhood car seat concerts featuring beatboxing and Queen singalongs. She picked up the clarinet in sixth grade and never looked back, teaching lessons even before earning her Bachelor’s in Music Education in 2020. Her teaching experience spans a range of instruments and settings, from public schools to private instruction, and includes skills in woodwinds, ukulele, and developing proficiency in strings.

As a teacher, Rachel creates a fun, student-centered environment that focuses on building strong fundamentals, musicality, and confidence. Her lessons are encouraging and tailored to each student’s goals, with an emphasis on self-expression and artistry through music.

Rachel has worked with several school systems and institutions, including Fulton County Schools, Atlanta Public Schools, and Atlanta International School. She has also been a long-time member of the Georgia Music Educators Association and plans to rejoin as she continues her teaching journey. Outside of music, she enjoys hiking, painting, photography, yoga, and spending time with her beloved cat, Leia.
