Paul La Duca

Paul La Duca has been playing drums since he was three, inspired by his father. He studied at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media and has performed with a variety of artists, currently playing with his original bands The Illustrated and Moonlark, as well as with Velvet City Sound for weddings and events. His love for all kinds of music, from Kings of Leon to Jeff Buckley, fuels his creative approach to performance and collaboration.

In lessons, Paul focuses on helping students build a cohesive understanding of rhythm across the drum set. He combines song-based learning with exercises that connect beats, fills, and coordination, leaving students feeling accomplished and confident in their playing.

Outside of music, Paul enjoys writing songs, hiking, spending time with friends and family, listening to records, and catching up on good TV shows. He graduated with high honors from AIMM and began teaching there after graduation, sharing his passion for music with students of all ages.
