Melody White grew up surrounded by music thanks to her mother, a chorus teacher who also taught private lessons from home. After learning piano at a young age, Melody went on to earn a degree in Music Education with a vocal focus, along with a minor in Theater, from Georgia Southern University. Before joining TMSA, she spent four years teaching high school chorus and musical theater. Melody especially enjoys helping students prepare for All-State auditions and building their confidence as performers.
Melody believes students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to make mistakes along the way. Her lessons focus on building genuine connections with students while creating a positive environment where growth feels exciting and achievable. Whether that means bringing humor into a lesson or helping students give themselves grace, Melody loves helping musicians work through challenges and discover what they are capable of.
Outside of teaching, Melody enjoys hiking, thrifting, gaming, musical theater, reality TV, and just about anything music-related. She proudly embraces her inner nerd and loves connecting with students over shared interests both inside and outside of music. Melody is also a member of both GMEA and NAfME, and jokingly says you might just see her competing on Survivor one day.
