Megan McNeely

Music Teacher

Piano, Violin, and Adaptive Lessons

Megan McNeely has been playing piano since the age of 10 and has additional experience on violin for about five years. Her musical background is rooted in classical training, complemented by six years of experience performing on a church worship team. During her college years, she also performed with her hometown orchestra on several occasions, further expanding her ensemble experience. In recent years, she has enjoyed exploring more popular music while maintaining a strong appreciation for classical repertoire.

Her teaching approach is engaging, flexible, and student-centered, with an emphasis on making lessons enjoyable and motivating. She incorporates music games, rhythm activities, and movement when helpful, creating an interactive learning environment that supports different learning styles. Megan takes time to understand each student’s goals, interests, and motivations, and uses those as the foundation for lesson planning. Her aim is to build both skill and enthusiasm so students feel connected to the music they are learning.

Outside of teaching, Megan enjoys exploring music from film and television soundtracks and expanding her repertoire beyond traditional classical pieces. She values connecting with students through shared musical interests and tailoring lessons to what inspires them most.
