Lesly Marcos

Music Teacher

Lesly is a firm advocate of the transformative power of music education. Currently in her fourth year at Kennesaw State University, majoring in General Music Education with a focus on child education, she is developing her skills both as a musician and a teacher. Lesly's entry into the university's music program was marked by a successful audition on the viola, leading her to participate in prominent ensembles such as the Symphony, Cooke Scholarship Quartet, and Chorale.

In her role at Courtnay and Rowe, Lesly teaches Intro to Music, Viola, Piano and Voice. Her approach to teaching is characterized by a blend of enthusiasm and a deep understanding of the developmental role music plays in a child's life. She is driven by the conviction that every child has the potential to grow musically and personally through their engagement with music.

Lesly's teaching philosophy is centered on the idea that the discovery and nurturing of musical talent can profoundly impact students of all ages. As she continues her academic and musical journey, she integrates this philosophy into her teaching, offering a dynamic and insightful music education experience to her students.
