Kaleo Hepburn has been playing guitar for over four years, including two years of professional training at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media (AIMM). He has also played bass for two years and has lifelong experience playing drums. His favorite genre is jazz fusion, but he also enjoys R&B, blues, rock, metal, and gospel music, which he explored while performing in church.
Kaleo takes an artistic and personalized approach to teaching, adapting each lesson to the student's interests, needs, and relationship with music. He enjoys exploring songs students love, discovering what draws them to the music, and using those ideas to develop their own sound. His goal is to help students find their place in music, express themselves creatively, and discover what makes playing meaningful to them.
Outside of playing and teaching, Kaleo is fascinated by theories of all kinds, especially music theory, frequencies, and the hidden ideas behind how music works. He loves exploring the deeper side of music and sharing those discoveries with others, making lessons an opportunity to learn, experiment, and ask questions.
