Joseph S. Osborne is a passionate musician and educator with over 25 years of experience playing guitar. He attended the University of North Texas for Jazz Guitar and Composition. Primarily a jazz guitarist, he is also skilled in funk, country, rock, and modern orchestral music. In addition to guitar, Joseph plays bass, piano, synthesizers, and percussion, and is talented in writing, producing, and arranging music.
As a teacher, Joseph focuses on student interests and motivation, tailoring lessons to inspire both technical growth and creative expression. He enjoys teaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and offers guitar lessons at all levels, as well as beginner piano.
Joseph has received scholarships and awards at music festivals and is affiliated with Josh Peters of Atlas Maior and Sacred HeartBeats, a nonprofit specializing in therapeutic group drumming. Outside of music, Joseph draws inspiration from bebop, Bartok, Phish, and Wayne Shorter, and he loves combining his passions for music with literature, film, and visual arts.
