Joi Richardson

Music Teacher

Joi Richardson is a professional classical singer with five years of experience, known for her luminous tone and profound artistry. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Converse University and a Master of Music from Georgia State University, Joi has portrayed key roles such as Frasquita in Carmen and Nella in Gianni Schicchi, combining emotional depth with technical brilliance. With collegiate piano training and over four years of teaching experience, Joi continually refines her musicianship, with a focus on music that inspires and uplifts others.

Joi’s teaching philosophy centers around creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can develop their skills with confidence. She emphasizes effective technique, solution-based problem-solving, and the cultivation of healthy musical habits to build a strong foundation for lifelong growth and expression. With Joi, every lesson is designed to empower students to reach their full potential as artists.

Outside of music, Joi enjoys a variety of hobbies, including cooking, hiking, home decor, and traveling, always seeking new experiences and inspiration. She appreciates a wide range of musical genres, from classical to pop, R&B, musical theatre, and indie.
