Jared Triggs

Music Teacher

Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, & Audition Prep

Jared Triggs began as a self taught musician on guitar, piano, and recorder before picking up trumpet in middle school band. He went on to study at Jacksonville State University, where he developed skills in teaching and performing across guitar, piano, and a wide range of concert band instruments. He also spent seven summers touring nationally with two competitive Drum Corps based in Atlanta, gaining extensive performance and instructional experience.

Jared’s teaching philosophy is highly adaptable, as he describes himself as a “chameleon” in the lesson room. He meets each student where they are, whether they prefer a relaxed and fun pace or a more focused and rigorous approach. Lessons can feel structured, casual, or like a collaborative jam session depending on the student’s goals, and he especially enjoys working with neurodivergent learners.

Outside of teaching, Jared is a passionate multi instrumentalist and music enthusiast who loves helping students discover what excites them most about music. He currently plays bass in the rock band Frog Patrol and trumpet with The Rhythm Major Band. He is also a former member and instructor with Spirit of Atlanta and Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps, and he enjoys skateboarding and spending time with his wife and their dogs.
