Gamela Zaki

Music Teacher

Classically trained at Kennesaw State University as an accomplished violinist and music educator, Gamela has garnered recognitions like the Student Choice Award and Most Improved in high school, leading to performances with prestigious groups such as the North GA Honor Orchestra, District 12 Honor Orchestra, and at Carnegie Hall with the Honor Performance Series. Her recent graduation in December 2023 with a Violin Performance Degree has culminated 12 years of dedicated study and rich involvement in chamber groups, symphony orchestras, and musical theater productions.

Gamela’s teaching, which began in her sophomore year of college, is rooted in establishing a strong technical foundation, balanced with musicality and personal expression. Her lessons are structured with a focus on posture, mechanics, and intonation, progressing to expressive playing. Committed to nurturing all student levels and catering to individual needs, Gamela applies a patient, encouraging approach. She imparts her love for Russian classical composers and diverse genres like worship and gospel music, alongside her interests in knitting, crochet, painting, and her enjoyment of anime and hermit crabs. With her vibrant expertise, Gamela is poised to inspire her students in violin and viola.
