Emily Crisp is an experienced voice and piano teacher and a classically trained soprano, holding a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Kennesaw State University. Throughout her career, Emily has earned numerous accolades, including Second Place in the National Opera Association’s Division I Scenes Competition and being a finalist in the Kennesaw State Concerto Competition. She has also participated in prestigious programs such as the Aquilon Music Festival and the International Performing Arts Institute.
In addition to her teaching, Emily performs with The Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Concert Opera, and serves as a staff singer at Covenant Presbyterian. She has sung lead roles in operas such as La Traviata, Così fan tutte, and Le nozze di Figaro, and has performed with companies like Capitol City Opera. Her concert experience includes performances of Carmina Burana, Messiah, and Gloria, as well as chorus work with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Grant Park Chorus.
As a teacher, Emily believes that music should be both enjoyable and empowering. She strives to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident exploring their voices and developing their musical skills. Her teaching approach combines strong technical foundations with a focus on fostering individual musical expression. Whether working on vocal technique or introducing students to the piano, Emily tailors lessons to each student’s unique needs, aiming to make learning both fun and enriching. Above all, she is committed to helping her students build confidence, cultivate a lifelong love for music, and experience the joy of musical discovery.
