Cory Godfrey has been a dedicated instructor at The Music Studio Atlanta for over five years. With a strong foundation in electric guitar from an early age, he expanded his musical expertise by earning a degree in musical performance from Armstrong Atlantic University, focusing on classical and jazz. Cory was honored with the Annie Allman Guitar Scholarship in recognition of his musical talent and dedication. He is also an active member of the Atlanta Federation of Musicians and ASCAP. Throughout his career, he has toured and performed with jazz, bluegrass, and rock ensembles, gaining diverse experience in improvisational and ensemble playing.

As a teacher, Cory believes in a personalized approach, adapting his lessons to fit each student’s learning style. Whether diving into music theory or focusing on hands-on technique, he ensures students develop a deep understanding of their instrument. His passion for improvisational music, especially jazz and bluegrass, inspires his teaching style, fostering creativity and confidence in his students.

When he’s not teaching or performing, Cory enjoys hiking, gardening, and taking care of the many rescue dogs his wife brings home.
