Charlie Harrell is a passionate drummer and lifelong music lover with an appreciation for everything from the 1960s to today. He grew up surrounded by Southern Gospel music and has been singing since childhood, later picking up ukulele before discovering his passion for drums. Over the past three years, Charlie has immersed himself in drumming and percussion, drawn to the creativity, energy, and expression the instrument brings out in him.
Charlie’s teaching philosophy is built around transparency, curiosity, and fun. He believes students should understand not only what they are learning, but why they are learning it, from practicing rudiments to developing proper technique. His lessons are supportive and flexible, encouraging students to ask questions, explore their interests, and build a strong musical foundation through thoughtful feedback and constructive guidance.
Outside of music, Charlie enjoys playing and collecting video games and learning about the unique history behind different instruments. He loves discovering what makes each instrument special and bringing that same sense of curiosity and creativity into his teaching.
