Anne Beck has been playing the piano for over 20 years, and has also participated in choirs as a vocalist and in ensembles as a piano accompanist. She came from a very musically oriented family who frequently played music together, and she believes in the power of music as a means of uniting people and forging connections across differences.
As a teacher, Anne understands the challenges involved in learning piano, especially for beginners and young children, and she pays special attention to helping students overcome these initial difficulties. Anne focuses on empowering her students to be active learners, and wants them to love making music, since she finds that, beyond the music lessons and her own presence as a teacher, students learn fastest, and most enjoy the process, when they are patiently guided and inspired to take agency over their own learning.
