Do you or your child need some extra motivation to practice? Do you have a song you’re excited to share, but the next recital is months away? Are you preparing something for an upcoming recital but want to do a practice run in a lower-stakes environment? Try participating in one of our Open Mic events!

Open Mics are our less formal performance opportunities for students enrolled in lessons at The Music Studio Atlanta. One of the places we host them is at St. Angelo’s Pizza, right down the street from The Music Studio Atlanta location in Vinings. Once you enroll in lessons you can sign up for one of our performance slots and enjoy pizza and music in a relaxed outdoors environment.

As parents, we want to expose our children to growth experiences that expand their confidence in themselves, and are thrilled when we can find experiences that are nurturing, gentle and encouraging, while pushing the comfort zone.

As an adult learning or re-learning an instrument, it is much more fun to join a community of other adults on that same journey, and are also thrilled when finding performance opportunities to help your musical growth that aren’t painful!

We believe that participating in any of our performance opportunities offers unparalleled benefits for students of all ages and levels - and our students prove it over and over!. Our low-pressure recitals and open mics are designed to enhance the musical journey by providing performance opportunities that boost confidence, encourage self-expression, and develop essential life skills.  There is nothing more rewarding to watch a student grow personally and musically - no matter the age, - continually improving performance to performance, replacing anxiety with confidence and being rewarded by applause!
