Gabe Brogi began his musical journey at age six with piano lessons, later exploring clarinet, bass clarinet, and bass guitar. Gabe’s musical versatility expanded as he joined a bluegrass band at the University of Georgia, performing on prominent stages like the Georgia Theatre and the 40 Watt Club, where renowned artists like REM and John Mayer have also played. After touring the southeast with his band, he stayed in Athens to start a punk band and later moved to Madrid, Spain, to receive formal training in flamenco guitar.
Gabe’s diverse musical influences include British rock, learned by his immigrant parents from Chile and Italy, and classical music, with a love for composers like Handel and Mozart. He believes in fostering a broad love for music, focusing on technique, curiosity, and genre exploration in his teaching. With experience as a swim coach, Gabe excels in group dynamics and also offers individualized attention, having successfully coached students with learning disabilities. His approach is to create an engaging, supportive environment that nurtures students’ musical growth.
